Have stayed in SIon Hill a couple of times when visiting Ireland from the USA, found the hosts to be very friendly, rooms clean and a great Irish breakfast, will definitely stay there the next time I visit Ireland This is a certified historic property and all that entails. The views are beautiful, and the home has potential, but the hosts - while welcoming and kind - seem overwhelmed. We have terrible allergies and the clutter and antiques around the home made for a miserable sleeping environment for my mom and I. The rooms are spacious, and the bathrooms... We recently stayed at Sion Hill B&B. The hosts - Antionette and George were extremely hospitable, most welcoming and extremely helpful in learning about Waterford and how to make the most out of our few days there. The B&B is a very charming Georgian property. To stay in such an old city like Waterford, I couldn't think of a more... We stumbled on this jewel by accident. While having lunch, we asked our waitress if she had a recommendation for a local B&B.

Another one of the customers commented that her parents ran a B&B, and would we like for her to check on availability. Needless to say, we did. We were pleased with everything especially the service, and the... Overall, this B&B was perfectly adequate. We stayed recently fo 2 nights with our adult daughter on our 8 day driving tour of SW Ireland. We had 2 rooms. Both rooms were nicely sized, with quite large bathrooms (ours had a tub with shower). The beds were well sized, but were extremely hard. It was like sleeping on the floor.... A lovely helpful host.....rooms clean.....lots and lots of antiques in the rooms...a bit cluttered though......expecting beautiful landscaped gardens but unfortunately a bit "overgrown"... a beautiful house but starting to look "run down" From our arrival to our departure nothing was too much trouble. We were welcomed with coffee and cake as well as lots of interesting information about the house, Wexford and good places o eat / visit. Antoinette's passion for her home shone through without being boring.

The folks at the local museum booked us here and an excellent choice. Antoinette was a great host. Checked in about 5:30, and she made us some tea and sweets.
