Light sculpture Forms in Nature by Hilden & DiazAnd in your life, there comes a darkness. There’s a spacecraft blocking out the sky, and there’s nowhere to hide. You run to the back and cover your ears, but it’s the loudest sound you’ve ever heard. Rag doll clothe people, we are helpless to resist… in your darkest hour. View Larger Isle of the Dead (Die Toteninsel) - Third version, (1883) Arnold Böcklin I’ve been wanting to share this masterpiece for days but I couldn’t since I had forgotten the name of it, which is funny because it’s so obvious… (Note to self: read once more about Freud and Signorelli.) View Larger Why so serious? Are you in touch with all of your darkest fantasies? Have you created a life for yourself where you can experience them? I have, I am fucking crazy… but I am free… So, I feel I’ve been kinda falling in love with someone since some weeks ago, it’s kind of a weird sensation. The way this person looks at me, treats me, the way it laughs, it’s such a nice individual and a beautiful looking human specimen, it’s just perfect.
Sometimes I even wonder if I should be doing my best to try and be a better man, then this voice takes over and just says: aw, what a cute idea! I would love to have this cute dog, he’s just so endearing… and for those who might ask: contrary to popular belief, it isn’t a trait of every psychopath to enjoy torturing animals or making them unhappy; chihuly style glass chandelier for salein fact, I’d LOVE to make miserable anyone’s existence who dares to put a hand on one of this vulnerable beings. chandelier oorbellen saleI have seen ENOUGH pain being inflicted to powerless creatures… it’s much more enjoyable to hunt for keen, clever, smart and highly intelligent individuals.chandeliers curren$y mp3 download

Your technical support key is: 36f5-2474-1756-6707Another rainy, muggy summer day. There's nothing I hate more than having to wear wellies in the heat. Nothing other than ruining my new summer sandals in the rain that is. Rubber flip flops will land you flat on your ass within seconds of hitting wet pavement, and soggy sneakers are just miserable, so what's a girl to do? Go plastic, of course. These 12 pairs will keep you relatively cool while standing up to summer storms. 1. Stuart Weitzman Jealous, $119 2. Melissa No. 1 + Pedro Lourenco, $110 3. Love Moschino jelly flat, $161.22 4. With its unruly tangle of roots and branches, the light casts 360-degree shadows across the space in which it hangs, transforming any room into a dense enchanted forest. It's an unusual answer to the challenge of bringing the outdoors in, don't you think? POPRAWIANY armchair by Wamhouse Inspired by the natural surroundings of its studio in northern Poland, Wamhouse has been designing some pretty wacky and wonderful furniture since its inception in 2005. Established by a graphic designer/photographer and a civil engineer, the design firm shies away from what they call an academic approach to design, taking a fresh look at architecture, interiors and furniture design.
all photos via Bow & Drape on Instagram I had an interiors post all ready to go today, but then this lookbook arrived, and I just couldn't help myself. Not only is Bow & Drape a local label run by an awesome lady, but the model and photographer here are both friends of mine, Holly and Greg of Covetous Creatures. (I always knew that girl would be a supermodel if she weren't such an itty-bitty thing!) all photos via GLUCK+ Who knew country living could be so good? With its perfect mix of modern and traditional shapes, this farmhouse addition by architecture firm GLUCK+ is enough to make this city mouse change her ways (or at least rethink them). Sketch and Pampered Pooch Outfits by Daniel Wingate, ESCADA It looks like ESCADA has discovered my weakness for all thing canine, judging by the press release I received yesterday. ESCADA boutiques across the country are partnering with the ASPCA this Thursday to welcome our furry friends inside for organic dog treats while owners shop for a cause.
A portion of Thursday's sales will go to support rescued animals in shelters, but it's the custom designed doggy suits by ESCADA creative director Daniel Wingate that stand to make the biggest impact. Available for silent auction at select locations, all proceeds from the teeny tiny outfits will be donated to the ASPCA. Does charity remove the social stigma of dressing up your pooch? Maybe not, but it's still totally worth it. The Resort 2014 collections are starting to appear online, and while I won't be enjoying clear, Caribbean waters until my honeymoon in October, all those bright colors and breezy silhouettes have me itching for an island getaway. Leading the pack thus far is Milly, always a favorite of mine for its petite-perfect fit. For the upcoming Resort season, neon brights are more painterly than '80s redux, and a honeycomb pattern takes black and white beyond mod. Oh, and jumpsuits and skulls aren't going anywhere... for better or for worse. Click through for more of my favorite looks from Milly's Resort 2014 collection.
Wedding season is upon us, and BaubleBar is teaming up with Bonobos just in time. The online jewelry Mecca is moving into the Bonobos Guideshop in Back Bay tonight and staying through Sunday, letting Boston couples shop side by side for bow ties, blazers and baubles. But whether or not the mister wants to join me, I know where I'll be spending my lunch break tomorrow! [all photos via Dezeen] You know how I love the intersection of fashion and architecture, and it doesn't get any better than this. Referencing construction techniques and shapes found in Gothic architecture, there's not a stitch to be found in the Object 12-1 collection by Croatian designer Matija Čop. Instead, each garment is made from interlocking foam pieces that are laser cut and attached to one another with a series of tabs and slots. top to bottom: Antler, Louisa Table, Carnival [all photos via Alexandra Llewellyn Design] Why is it that Father's Day gift guides always assume that the men in our lives are golf-playing, beer-swilling, gadget-loving grill masters?
My dad would much sooner add a piece of art to his wish list than a set of golf clubs or choose a blazer over barbecue tools. And I can think of at least one dad in my life (my uncle) who would go crazy for the exquisite backgammon boards and game tables designed by Alexandra Llewellyn. In addition to Llewellyn's main backgammon collection, she creates bespoke game pieces of semi-precious stones and commissioned one-off game boards and tables... all photos by Nick Suchkevich for Garage I know that I already posted something from Garage, but I discovered the Russian magazine this week, and now I just can't stop. Take this editorial by Nick Suchkevich, for example, from way back in the Garage archives (issue #2 to be exact). The subject is not a model, believe it or not, but designer Ulyana Sergeenko, whose latest collection is equal parts fairy tale and folklore. More from the editorial follows, showcasing both Sergeenko's beauty and design talent. I'm loving this brand new series from Russia's Garage magazine exploring "the formula for our favorite fashion guilty pleasures."
