My name is Pete Battye and I am a photographer located in Dunsborough. I service Margaret River, Busselton, Bunbury, Yallingup, Augusta, Dunsborough and beyond. My passion for photography grew throughout my high school years, which lead to an eight year career as a photographer in The RAAF. I was extremely fortunate to learn my craft in an environment that called for and demanded perfection. At the same time I sought to nurture my artistic flare. I strived to combine my technical ability with innovative and original photography. A job made easier with constant requests and ideas from friends and family. I thrived on the positive feedback I received, and strived to do better.

These accolades and my own personal satisfaction, instilled in me the belief that the path I had chosen was unquestionably the right one. In 1999 I embarked on a global adventure. My goal was to see and photograph as much of the world as possible. I joined the Contiki Travel team and became their leading European brochure photographer. Here I was capturing travellers living it up all over world. I was sent to central Europe, Russia, Scandinavia, the UK, the USA, New Zealand and Australia. Time out enabled me to travel further afield. Back packing through India, Nepal, Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos, Egypt, Jordan, Cuba and Iceland presented me with countless photographic opportunities. Immortalising the true human spirit on film became my passion. I love what I do. Through my photography I’ve had the opportunity to photograph, meet and get to know people from all walks of life. Photography has greatly enriched my memories. Through the lens I’ve captured the fun, natural and special events in peoples lives.
