Arrived on a Saturday evening as we had not been here in a few years. Asked for table for 2 and were dumped in the corner at a child sized table, yet other couples were seated at proper sized tables. We where not asked what drinks we would like and then ignored for the next 10 minutes. Had a few visits here over the years for a takeaway and always been impressed with the quality of the food.

Food may under pa vindaloo had no flavour or spice slow at serving will not be going again very clean staff were friendly and helpful plenty of choice just everyone that ordered a spicy curry were disappointed We called in for dinner the other night and were attracted to the "special menu" at £14.99 which included starter, main course and rice or naan, ice cream and coffee. All of the dishes we had were to a good standard, especially the murghi masala. All in all a very pleasant meal washed down with a drop of Cobra. Visited with friends for a birthday celebration. Staff were very helpful Food was ok, and there was plenty of it though it was nothing special. I would visit again as it's fine for a reasonable meal out but if I wanted a really interesting menu this wouldn't be my first choice We stopped off here for a meal on our visit to Long Eaton. We opted for the set menu at £14.95. This gives you the choice of any starter, any main course, rice or nan bread, coffee and a sweet.

The food was exquisite, very tasty indeed. I thought I would have to pay extra for the tandoori mixed grill,... Main entrance is in the side street, on my visit it was a buffet night. Shown to my table I asked where the poppadoms were and informed there is an extra charge for these! Three main meals , one type of rice. Overall the food I had was tasty and hot, the place started to get busy so it appears... I have visited the Chandelier on many occasions usually family occasions so there is a significant number us. The Service has been constantly good with the staff with being really helpful for those who want a bit of adventure with a curry to this preferring less spicy options. The food its self always excellent and good value for money. Don’t be put off by their minimal website – the food rocks – absolutely rocks: it really is the best for miles around.

Their special menu has some brilliant authentic dishes. here are three of my favorites: The word describes the sensation when the lid is removed from the cooking pot and there ia an instant burst of flavours. Lal Masale Wali Chicken This dish receives its name from the red herbs and spices. Hare Masale Wali Chicken This dish receives its name from the green herbs and spices. The restaurant is bright, colourful and smart. The staff are really friendly. And oh, did I say – the food’s GREAT! Quality of foodFriendliness of staffAmbienceComfort/54 If you find my site useful, please recommend it!This is a great little pub. It’s homely, clean and welcoming. We dropped in for a quick half on our way to the Chandlier and then ended up staying for a couple of hours while we worked our way through a fair proportion of the excellent real ales on offer. The owner clearly takes considerable pride in this brilliant boozer and his care is reflected in the quality of his ale.

He came over to check that everything was alright with the beer offering a replacement pint as (he explained) he thought it looked a bit hazy. The beer was excellent however and no replacement was necessary. How many times have you experienced that? I was particularly taken with the Nottingham Brewery Foundry Mild (4.7%): black, chocolatey with a beautiful coffee coloured head, strong and malty with a slightly bitter finish. Looking over the guest ale menu, we made a mental note to make a return visit soon. There are two rooms, a tiny quiet, lounge and a lively bar with a pool table. There’s a very attractive compact beer garden out the back. The other thing that makes this a great pub, apart from the beer, is the atmosphere, which is warm, friendly and relaxed. The round the walls seating encourage something of a party atmosphere. Without a doubt: this is a locals pub but it’s not one of those locals where you feel excluded. Quite the opposite: we were made to feel welcome and the locals involved us in the conversation much of which centred around the entertaining antics of George, the pub’s dog.
