Since 1991, lighting features from the Alary Collection have been widely published in over 20 international magazines. Lumid has built over 10,000 fixtures in the past 20 years for architects, interior designers, lighting designers, building owners and developers. Dominique’s quest for new challenges led him to create another branch of the company which combines fire with light and water in innovative gas fixtures, sculptural works, and fire features. Our custom fireplaces, cauldrons and fire features are used in hotels, casinos, restaurants and private residences. Unique in the Hearth Industry, FIRELAB melds custom design with standard components in a modular system. All of our fixtures and appliances are made in North America and UL, CSA or CE certified right in our own factory. Dominique Alary’s fanciful nature is evident in his designs, exhibiting humor and a reverence for material qualities. These Alary Collection classics are early designs which showed the promise of the young designer. Inspired by Gabriel Mackinnon’s designed for Calgary’s Chinook Centre, the Crystal Drops collection are smaller than the original but are just as jaw-droppingly beautiful as the originals.
