In talking with an employee in the tool department I told him that he needed to convince my wife that a certain tool was needed on some handyman jobs that I had coming up. Grinning, he agreed to the plan and I brought my wife to the tool section where with enthusiasm and a sparkle in his eye the employee proceeded to tell her how this particular tool was so versatile and important to my handyman goals that I shouldn't be without it. I went home with the tool. Since then, I've been able to purchase a number of tools just by reminding her that the employee was once again, recommending a certain tool.

This is now a permanent and amusing story between my wife and I. Tool buying is now more frequent and enjoyable. The customer service we received at this store was great. We were looking for new countertops, tried three different large hardware stores and came back to Home Depot. We usually shop at another competitor but after being treated so well at Home Depot we won't waste our time anywhere else. We had the undivided attention of the kitchen designer, without an appointment, he was knowledgeable, interested and very polite. I shop here often - they carry no VOC paint which I prefer, and have a wide range of everything you need. The garden center has nice plants in the spring and summer, and the folks working here are helpful. I always have a great experience, in this store. I love the self-checkout. Had an issue, Ann, the associate was very helpful and got me on my way quickly. NEED PEOPLE TO HELP YOU AND STOCK THE SHELVES BETTER-- 25 TOOLS IN THE STORE BUT NONE ON THE SHELF
