Our 3 day stay at Madi Madi ticked all the boxes. The setting of the lodge is beautiful and while the Kamanassie river had dried to a stream during our visit, the views all round are wonderful. Our accommodation had every comfort as well as the luxury of privacy - the lodge is small with only five fully serviced chalets... Thank you very much for your kind review. What a pleasant surprise; this extremely well managed game lodge (relatively small) is nestled between the Kammanasie Mountains overlooking the river. We thoroughly enjoyed the lovely Karoo scenery, the fantastic food (Jacques) (especially the "braai"), the horse ride, the game drive (G.S.), the hospitality (Natasha), the view, the tranquility and most definitely the personalised service and friendship! We truly appreciate each and single one of them. We are so pleased that you enjoyed the food and hospitality and whole lodge experience that Madi-Madi has to offer. All the guest sitting at the same table and you making new friends. The little Meerkatjies are amazing. I cant leave out Ou Bokkie. Just love the hugs that you... It certainly is a place to come and stay and unwind or partake in our many activities. We are very fortunate with the type of roads we have here, as this is mainly a rock area, all cars can drive on the dirt roads even... We stayed at Madi Madi for one night to celebrate our Anniversary. Beautiful setting, quiet, relaxing and just beautiful!! They have gorgeous units. Delicious food and very friendly staff. We were made to feel like royalty! This is a must for a romantic get away!! We are so happy that you enjoyed staying here with us as much as you did. Madi-Madi is truly a special place.We truly appreciate it. My Husband and I did a trip up the Garden Route for our honeymoon and we had the opportunity of spending two wonderful nights at Madi-Madi. We hope to see you again soon. De Hoek is set in a beautiful valley surrounded by exquisite nature and mountains. Look, this place is very cheap and units basic, but a little attention is needed. My kettle did not work and tripped the lights when I put it on. When I got there the main board had not even been switched on, so had to wait... I was there during June holidays and I am not impressed about electrical problems,well besides the negetivity the place is incredible I actually enjoyed myself..............
