She has some real cool tips for short hair styles. Jones is extremely excited about pixie cuts. "Though a pixie cut lacks in length, it's very high on style." How do you style a pixie cut for an evening out during Durga Puja, Diwali or Navratri? "For the textured and voluminous look, just blow dry your hair and apply a volume enhancing mousse and do a little back combing at the roots throughout the top layer," she says. You must also apply a texturising fibre or a strong wax and flick back the sides of your hair. Then gently twist and separate a random section on the top. "Finish your look with a stronghold hair spray," recommends Jones. The chin and shoulder length bob is a hit with the young crowd, because it is manageable and you still feel you have some length to the hair. According to Jones, the colours that are trending are shiny and saturated (intense). "Since girls are ready for something different, we are hitting it full force with deep and vibrant colours such as deep blue, bright red, deep purple, shades of dark chocolate and warm chestnut," she says.

Very minimal highlights or low lights are incorporated to give a perfect balance. She also favours giving splashes of colour in some places. For a funky look, apply gel or wax and set it by hand," he says. He also warns that gel and wax should be used for sleek or pixie cuts, while blow dry your hair for that perfect wedge or mushroom cut.
