At MMW, the classes are for the community, with project-based classes in furniture-making and sculpture, and classes in specific techniques that might help you on the job or get the job done, whether that’s learning to MIG weld, TIG, or use a plasma cutter.  Classes are nights and weekends, fast-paced, and reasonably priced.  
We also have open shop hours so our shop is yours (see open shop page for more info)[/col] Now that the dust has settled (and we’ve settled in) it’s time to celebrate with an open house.  Together with our neighbors, Community Woodshop, we’ll fire up the grill and ping pong set, plus break out a whole bunch of projects to show you what we’ve been up to.  If you haven’t seen the new shop yet, come on by.   Our building has sold so we are moving May 7.  The new building is just a mile North on San Fernando into Glendale.  3617 San Fernando Rd, Glendale, CA 91204.  Classes will continue as scheduled until 5/5, then we will close open shop and pause classes until 5/14 and be back ready for business on 5/14 for open shop and class. $80 covers a 3-hr welding taster class using a flame torch, plasma cutter, electric MIG welder and a fancy TIG welder. $180 covers a 6-hr intro MIG welding class, perfect for learning basic welding technique for repair, furniture, sculpture, or car projects
$100 covers 10-hours of shop use, using whatever tools they’ve taken a class in.chandeliers for sale in kzn $405 covers a 6-week project class: furniture, sculpture, chandeliers, all sorts of stuff.  chandeliers growtopiaBuild it for real!waterford avoca 5 arm chandelier An art-loving warehouse owner contacted MMW to build sculptures out of a ton of scrap metal from his facility in Long Beach.  He’s providing tools, space to work, forklift drivers, and a budget to cover materials and our instruction team.  In return, we’re making furniture and art for the warehouse.  Saturdays starting Sept 19 with a show on Nov 7 So come out on Saturdays and we’ll drive down to Long Beach together and we’ll build some incredible stuff (I’m dreaming of a picnic table see-saw).

And if your schedule is crazy and you can’t make a class,or if your ideas are crazy and I haven’t made the class, we also offer private and group lessons. MMW is about 3000 sq feet, filled with metalworking tools: MIGs, TIGs, Oxyacetylene, 36″ shear, 24″  finger brake, horizontal and vertical band saws, benders, rollers, plasma cutter, 2 drill presses, and about 600 lbs of hand tools (not quite a ton).  And if you don’t know what those things are, we’re happy to show you.  That’s what we’re here for.  We’re not the best welders in the world, but we’re damn good teachers and willing to share our knowledge, skill, and shop with you, whether that’s teaching you to weld, make a table, or build a bicycle. 3617 San Fernando Rd MMW also provides furniture fabrication services and specializes in mechanical and electronic props, art pieces, and sets.
